Constructionn of Luckenbach/Zeigelman House at BBBC Expo Site Completed

Winchester, Virginia – SHELTER2HOME, LLC is pleased to announce that its subsidiary SHELTER2HOME-HAITI, SA (S2H-HAITI) has completed construction on Luckenbach/Zeigleman Architect House. The Haitian Government hosted the “Build Back Better Communities” (BBBC) Exemplar Housing Exposition at Z’Oranje, Haiti (a Port-au-Prince suburb). The Exposition hosted projects with a variety of building techniques including everything from traditional concealed masonry and low technology homes built from tires packed with dirt, to various high tech foam and mesh technologies and tube steel structures of all different shapes and sizes. Luckenbach/Ziegelman’s model featured rigid frame construction. Shelter2Home provided the wall panel system and facilitated construction on-site. click to read more »


Construction on Gressier Restavec School Completed

Winchester, Virginia – SHELTER2HOME, LLC is pleased to announce that its subsidiary SHELTER2HOME-HAITI, SA (S2H-HAITI) has completed construction on the first of three schools currently under construction in Haiti. This three room school and Restavec Center was funded by Cross International. It is located in the town of Gressier, about an hours drive west of Port-au-Prince. S2H-HAITI is an active member at AMCHAM-HAITI.

After President Elect Martelly spoke about his plans to promote business, job creation, and the reconstruction of the country through joint cooperation with Haitian – American businesses, the floor was opened for questions. click to read more »


SHELTER2HOME-HAITI, S.A. Begins Construction of 50 Homes for Families Displaced by the Earthquake

Torbeck, Haiti – SHELTER2HOME-HAITI (S2H-HAITI) has recently begun the construction of 50 new homes for families that have been displaced by the January 12, 2010 earthquake that devastated Port-au-Prince, Haiti and claimed the lives of approximately 250,000 people. The two-room “starter” homes are being funded by CROSS INTERNATIONAL, a non-profit based organization located in Miami, Florida, who operates in 40 countries. Cross International partners with Shelter2Home in support of ongoing projects at PWOJE ESPWA SUD

Les Cayes, Haiti: Shelter2Home is pleased to announce one of our newest partners working to support efforts at Pwoje Espwa Sud Orphanage.  Cross International has been working with S2H since late May by providing financial support for the S2H Job Training Program, Girls Housing Complex, and the start-up of our in-country manufacturing facility at Espwa.  Future projects on the Espwa campus are also under consideration. click to read more »


Shelter2Home Moves to Launch Manufacturing, Job Training, Shelter and Housing Program to Support Earthquake Effort in Haiti

Responding to the January 12th earthquake, Shelter2Home’s Haiti subsidiary will collaborate with international aid agencies, U.S. and the Haitian governments to help meet the needs of millions of Haitians displaced by the disaster. Shelter2Home has partnered with PWOJE ESPWA SUD to Provide Job Training in Les Cayes, Haiti

Shelter2Home has partnered with PWOJE ESPWA SUD, which is a Haitian registered Non-governmental organization (NGO) that cares for approximately 680 orphaned children and provides primary, secondary and vocational training for 1,200 students in Les Cayes, Haiti. This program is geared to take educated orphaned children of working age and introduce them into our Job/Training & Manufacturing Program. click to read more »
