Pwoje Espwa Sud Kitchen & Dining Hall

There is a Haitian Proverb that says, “Kay koule tronpe soley men li pa tronpe lapli,” A leaky roof may fool the sun, but cannot fool the rain. Pwoje Espwa Sud built a large Dining Hall with masonry construction with the roof provided by Shelter2Home. This large 150′ long by 75′ wide structure will house the nearly 3,000 meals provided daily at Pwoje Espwa. Conventional methods for adding a roof over this structure would have been unwise. The roof needed to be strong, light weight and easy to build.
