SHELTER2HOME has partnered with STUCC ON STEEL Building Systems, to incorporate its Light Gauge Panelized Steel Framing and Structural Stucco Finish Building System, which is used when our shelters are converted into permanent homes.
STUCC ON STEEL (SOS) successfully demonstrated its low-cost, environmentally friendly building system that simplifies the ways home are built, the materials used and the skill requirement in Sri Lanka for people displaced by the 2004 Asian Tsunami. Together, SHELTER2HOME now offers not only Shelters that can convert to permanent houses but also low-cost and affordable homes that have been rated to last 100 years or longer and are built to be highly resistant to hurricane, flooding, earthquakes, fire and termites.
The Lakou Series are culturally sensitive designs based around the “courtyard” or ‘back yard” and can serve a variety of family needs and sizes. Features and Finishes are available in the download and are completely customizable. We also offer a wide range of design services should a client have housing needs beyond our standard offerings.
